This week we talked with local artist (and now political activist) Alisa “Starr” Ballard. Alisa is a singer songwriter based here in the Atlanta area. Alisa’s story is interesting because she had pretty much given up on music and was focused on building her hair care business. However, watching Obama go after his seemingly-impossible dream awakened her belief that she should continue to pursue her music aspirations.
Not only did Alisa return to the studio but she wrote a song that she has since donated to the Barack Obama campaign. She also works tirelessly to help Mr. Obama become the next president of the United States.
It’s a perfect example of how one person pursuing their dream can give others permission to dream as well.
Enjoy the show.
